Exterior
The exterior was held to its original ranch design. In order
to bring it into style, though, the roofline was raised; angles
were added to what was initially a long straight front elevation;
and the windows, trim, and paint colors were also updated. In
addition, the "skinny, fake rock" column was redesigned
with more mass and the rock was removed.

Foyer
and Hallway
We opened up the foyer with angles
and niches to create an interesting and welcoming entry. Three
skylights added for natural light.
The very dark, narrow, and drab hallway
was opened up through the creation of an alcove with skylight
and built-in storage. Additionally, a bookcase was placed at
the end of the hallway for interest and function.

Living
Room
The dining room was enlarged by capturing space from the living
room. The living room was made more intimate and inviting with
the addition of built in book cases on all four walls, glass
shelving at the entrance of the living room from the foyer,
and a dual-sided direct vent fireplace.
